Grandad was a funny man, set in his ways he could be stubborn but theres nothing new there thats
just men!!
He would always recall the time he had spent in the Second World War when we asked to talk about it,
Telling us the stories with a tear in his eye.
He used to take us on family holidays to the Isle of Wight where he used to love it, When Nan passed
in April 2008 I dont think he came to terms with losing her they were married for 65years, When you
live with someone that long I guess they become a part of you and when you lose them it is like part
of you has died as well and that is what I think happened with Grandad he lost a part of himself the
day Nan went and nothing/anything or anyone said or did would have changed the way he felt.
He missed Nan.
Now Grandad has gone as well its like a part of our life is over another chapter has closed a part
of life has finished an era has come to a close.
We can never undo or change things that have happened or wish for things a different way, We are
just grateful for the memories that we have as they will stay forever in our hearts and forever in
our minds, You are at peace now Grandad with the one you love our dear Nan so forever together again
take care of each other up there and look in on us from time to time.
We love you both very much and are going to miss you both so much.
